How to Save Recipes from Instagram
Stop taking screenshots that get lost in your camera roll. Save Instagram recipes directly to Minichef.
Instagram is full of amazing recipes, but saving them is a pain. “Link in bio” is annoying, and screenshots just clutter your phone. Minichef fixes this.
How it works
Minichef uses AI to “watch” the Reel or read the caption, extracting the ingredients and instructions automatically.
- Find a delicious recipe Reel or Post on Instagram.
- Tap the Share (Paper Plane) icon.
- Tap Share to… at the bottom.
- Select Minichef.
That’s it! Minichef will open and show you the drafted recipe.
Troubleshooting
“I don’t see Minichef in the list!” You might need to enable it. Check out our guide on adding Minichef to your shortcuts.
“The recipe didn’t import correctly.” Sometimes creators don’t include the full recipe in the caption. In this case, try taking a screenshot of the comments if the recipe is there, and use our Import from Screenshot feature.
